1. Introduction

Welcome to Thank and Move. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal information is handled in a safe and responsible manner. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. Definitions

In this Privacy Policy:

  • Personal Information means information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable, whether the information or opinion is true or not and whether recorded in a material form or not.
  • Sensitive Information means information or an opinion about an individual’s racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious beliefs or affiliations, philosophical beliefs, membership of a professional or trade association, membership of a trade union, sexual orientation or practices, or criminal record. Sensitive information also includes health information and genetic information about an individual that is not otherwise health information. 
  • In this privacy policy, a reference to personal information includes sensitive / health information.
  • “We”, “Us” and “Our” refers to Think and Move Pty Ltd.
  • “You” refers to any individual about whom we collect personal information (Personal Data).

3. Collection of Personal Information

We collect personal information that is necessary to provide services. When you enquire about our services or become a partner, customer or client of Think and Move, a record is made which includes your Personal Data. 

We may collect personal data in a variety of ways, including: 

  • When we provide services to you
  • When you visit our website
  • When you submit your information in response to marketing events or activities
  • When you contact us by any method, (e.g. face-to-face, over the telephone, through an online form or portal, through a paper form or by email).
  • From third parties
  • From publicly available sources

The types of personal data we collect is usually from the following categories:

  • Contact information (e.g. name, postal address, email address and phone numbers)
  • Commonwealth identifiers (e.g. Medicare number)
  • Information about families and next of kin (e.g. family member names and contact details)
  • Sensitive information (e.g. information about your health).
  • Employment information or organisation you are affiliated with (e.g. your occupation)
  • Financial information (e.g. payment details)
  • Information obtained to assist in managing client and business relationships

4. Collection, use and storage of Personal Information

We use your personal information to provide services and manage your experience with us, which can include:

  • Provision of allied health services
  • Processing of payments and managing billing
  • Complying with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Improving our services and conducting research.


Generally, it is not practicable for Think and Move to deal with individuals anonymously or pseudonymously on an ongoing basis. If we do not collect Personal Data about you, you may be unable to utilise our services or participate in our events, programs, or activities we manage or deliver.


We may also collect, use and store your personal information:

  • For marketing purposes (i,e, to provide you information about the services we offer)
  • to respond to your questions or suggestions
  • to improve the quality of your visit to our website
  • to undertake employee recruitment activities
  • to assist with data analysis 


You may opt out of receiving marketing information by notifying us, or by use of any unsubscribe options provided for that purpose. If you opt out of receiving marketing information, we may still contact you in connection with the services we provide to you (e.g. appointment reminders). 

5. Disclosure of Personal data

Like most businesses in Australia, we contract out some of our functions and rely on third party suppliers or contractors to help us conduct our business, for example “cloud computing” technology and data storage services, data analytic and marketing services, legal advice, insurance broking, security services, business advisors and financial services. We may disclose personal data to these third parties in connection with their provision of goods or services to us.


We may also disclose your personal data to government agencies, private sector organisations or other entities where required or permitted by law, which may include the following circumstances:

  • You have consented to such disclosure.
  • We believe that you would reasonably expect, or have been told, that information of that kind is usually passed to those individuals, bodies or agencies, and it is being disclosed for a purpose related (or directly related, in the case of sensitive information) to the reason we collected the information.
  • We are required or authorised to make such disclosure by law or the requirements of any professional bodies, including where we are required to do so in accordance with child safety obligations.
  • A permitted general situation or permitted health situation (as these terms are defined in the Privacy Act) exists in relation to the disclosure.
  • We believe it is reasonably necessary for enforcement related activities conducted by, or on behalf of, an enforcement body (e.g. police, ASIC, Immigration Department).


Personal data collected and stored in respect of any applicable Australian Government contract will not be stored in an offshore cloud host service or transferred outside of Australia.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to ensure all personal data we collect, use or disclose is accurate, secure and safe. Some of the ways we do this are:

  • Securing hard copy document storage (i.e. storing hard copy documents in locked      filing cabinets)
  • Implementing security measures for access to computer systems to protect information      from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure and loss, misuse and interference
  • Ensuring data storage devices such as laptops, tablets and smart phones are      password protected


Personal information may be stored in documentary form but will generally be stored electronically on our software or systems.

7. Access to and Correction of Personal Information

You have the right to access and correct your personal information held by us. If you wish to access or correct your personal information, please contact us.

8. Complaints

If you have any concerns or complaints about our handling of your personal information, please contact us. We will promptly investigate your complaint and respond to you.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and the updated Privacy Policy will take effect from the date of publication.
